San Francisco (Mar. 5, 2020) — NORCAL Group Foundation is pleased to announce grant funding awards for nine community healthcare programs spanning five states. These exceptional organizations were chosen as grant recipients of the Foundation’s Fall 2019 grant cycle based on their commitment to improving healthcare in their communities through patient care, patient safety, health education and physician wellness.
Premium Relief for California Policyholders
Due to the severe impact of the California wildfires, NORCAL is providing premium payment relief to policyholders throughout California. We will extend the payment period for those impacted for 60 days, to ensure that policyholders are able to work through the aftermath of the wildfires without any disruption of coverage.

Due to the recent severe weather and tornadoes in Ohio, we’re providing premium payment relief to policyholders in the following counties:
Due to the severe impact of recent storms in Oklahoma, we’re providing premium payment relief to policyholders in designated storm disaster areas. For premium payments due between May 24, 2019 and June 23, 2019, we’ve instituted a grace period until June 24, 2019 so policyholders are able to work through the aftermath of severe storms without any disruption of coverage. Additionally, no cancellations for nonpayment of premium will be issued during this grace period to those affected by the storms.
A.M. Best has once again affirmed a rating of “A” (Excellent) for NORCAL Group, and the ratings outlook continues to be “stable.” (NORCAL Group includes NORCAL Mutual Insurance Company and its affiliated insurance companies.) The rating reflects NORCAL Group’s solid balance sheet, including its strong level of capitalization, improvements in operating and underwriting performance, experienced management team, and the successful execution of its growth strategy.
