NORCAL Mutual Expands Medical Professional Liability Insurance Coverage to Iowa, Washington

NORCAL Mutual Insurance Company, one of the largest medical professional liability insurance companies in the nation based on direct written premium, has begun offering coverage to physicians in Iowa and Washington. NORCAL now protects physicians and health care professionals in 30 states, including the District of Columbia.

This is the latest phase in NORCAL’s multi-year national expansion to strategically enter new markets and transition policyholders from subsidiary companies to NORCAL Mutual. Medicus Insurance Company, a wholly owned subsidiary of NORCAL Mutual, has been offering coverage to physicians in Iowa since 2008 and Washington since 2011.
